She received her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision, Specialized in School Counseling from the University of Maryland at College Park. Her scholarship and research interests focus on school counseling, multicultural counseling, social justice and advocacy in counseling and international issues in counseling. She has presented at a number of local, national, and international conferences on multicultural counseling and social justice issues in counseling. She is also an associate editor of the Journal of Asian Pacific Counseling.

Dr. Jeongwoon Jeong (정정운), Assistant Professor, The University of New Mexico: jjeong@unm.edu. Dr. Jeongwoon Jeong is an Assistant Professor of Counselor Education in the Department of Individual, Family, and Community Education at The University of New Mexico. His research examines addiction and mental health needs among underserved populations, explores multicultural and social justice issues in counseling and counselor education, and advances culturally responsive approaches to counselor education pedagogy.

Dr. So Rin Kim is an Assistant Professor of Counseling at University of Missouri - St. Louis, provisional licensed professional counselor and a nationally certified counselor. Her research agenda includes 1) Resilience and Trauma in Underrepresented Populations, 2) Counseling Outcome Evaluation, and 3) Integration of Neuroscience in Counseling.

Dr. Minna Yoo (류미나) is an assistant professor of Counselor Education at Plymouth State University: minna.yoo@plymouth.edu. Her research focuses on working with clinical supervision, group work, and counselor training and preparation.

Dr. Hyemi Jang (장혜미) is an Assistant Professor in the Counselor Education Program at Western Connecticut State University: jangh@wcsu.edu. Her research area includes mental health access among underrepresented populations, community-based counseling, and trauma-informed counseling services.

SunHee J. Eissenstat (장선희) is an Associate professor in the department of Psychiatric Rehabilitation & Counseling Professions: sj643@shp.rutgers.edu. She received her Ph. D. from Counselor Education and Supervision program and Graduate Minor in Statistics at the Pennsylvania State University. She earned her master’s degree in counseling from Korea University in South Korea. Dr. Eissenstat co-authored several publications from peer-reviewed journals in counseling and human development field. Her main research interest is career development, and her recent work focuses on vocational rehabilitation of marginalized population including people with disability. She is expanding her research topics to overall recovery including employment of people with severe mental illness with her colleagues in Rutgers and assisted data analyses with two research papers, with her expertise in research design and data analysis and research interest in vocational rehabilitation.

Sang Min Shin (신상민), Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Counselor Education at Kean University, New Jersey: sang.min.shin@kean.edu. She holds a Ph.D. in Counseling and Counselor Education from the University of Florida and is a National Certified Counselor (NCC), a Licensed Professional Counselor- Supervisor (LPC-S) in Texas, and a Registered Play Therapist (RPT), with experience in both school-based and community-based practices. Her research focuses on play therapy, play therapy training, child?parent relationships, multicultural counseling and counselor education, and nature-based counseling interventions.
Administrative Assistant:
Seongeun Oh (오성은) is a doctoral student in the Counselor Education and Supervision program at Michigan State University: ohseonge@msu.edu. He earned his master’s degree in psychology from Handong Global University in South Korea and worked as a full-time counselor at a university counseling center in Korea. His research interests include trauma and mental health, motivation, addiction, and the employment of people with disabilities. He is passionate about working with individuals with psychiatric disabilities and college students and aims to integrate his research into practical applications and the rehabilitation system.
